Keep People Moving Safely On Every Site

Why Temporary Pedestrian Walkways Matter

Wherever people move across grass, soil or uneven ground, poor footing increases the risk of slips, trips and injuries. Mud tracked into cabins, vehicles and public areas also adds time and cost. On many projects there is no permanent paving, or existing paths cannot cope with heavy use.

Composite walkway mats create defined, non slip routes that keep feet out of mud, guide people safely around hazards and protect lawns or reinstatement sensitive surfaces beneath. GroundGuards Global supports construction sites, housebuilding developments, events and festivals, heritage venues, attractions, film sets, agricultural shows, rental fleets and distributors who need reliable temporary walkways that work in all weather.

Key Benefits For Projects, Venues & Fleets

What You Gain From Composite Temporary Walkways

Using composite mats for walkways gives bulk buyers, rental fleets and distributors a versatile system that works across many sectors and site types. The same systems are proven in demanding hire fleets, and we support partners with training, layout guidance and sales materials so their teams can specify walkway solutions with confidence.

  • Provide safe, non slip routes for staff, visitors and contractors
  • Keep mud and debris away from cabins, vehicles and public areas
  • Clearly separate pedestrian routes from vehicle movements
  • Protect grass, gravel and finished surfaces from heavy foot traffic
  • Reuse the same mats across multiple projects, venues and seasons

How Our Composite Walkway Mats Work

Temporary walkways are formed from modular panels that interlock to create continuous paths. Surface textures are designed to give secure footing in wet or muddy conditions and to work with everyday footwear, high visibility edges and wheelchair friendly profiles where required.

Walkways can be straight runs, curves, junctions or wider platforms at entrances and queuing areas. Panels can be laid directly on grass, soil, gravel or hard surfaces, protecting the ground while providing a level route for people and light trolleys.

Our systems are independently tested for slip resistance and supported with conservative, application based load guidance so you can match each product to expected footfall and ground conditions. Once a project or event is complete, mats are lifted, cleaned and reused on the next site, giving you a long life asset instead of disposable timber or cheap boards.

Weight loading is not always straightforward, so read our weight loading guide before you choose.
