Keep Vehicles Moving On Soft & Sensitive Ground

Why Temporary Roadways Matter

When projects rely on repeated vehicle movements across soft, wet or reinstatement sensitive ground, unprotected tracks can quickly fail. Ruts, bogged vehicles and damaged surfaces slow programmes and increase remediation costs. Temporary roadway mats create a stable running surface that protects the ground below and keeps access open in all seasons.

Compared with stone roads, reusable composite mats can cut truck movements, CO₂ and reinstatement works at the end of the project. GroundGuards Global supports civil contractors, utilities and infrastructure teams, renewable energy developers, rental fleets and distributors who need dependable roadway systems to keep access routes open and projects on schedule.

Simple To Deploy, Easy To Reuse

How Our Composite Temporary Roads Work

Temporary roads are built from interlocking mats that connect to form a continuous, stable running surface. Each panel is designed to spread load, protect the ground below and provide traction for vehicles across soft or uneven conditions. Roadway layouts can be straight runs, turning areas or wider pads, depending on the equipment you need to support and the ground on site.

Our roadway systems are independently tested and supported with conservative, application based load guidance so you can match each mat to ground conditions with confidence. Once a project is complete, mats are lifted, inspected and reused on future jobs, giving you a high value asset instead of a one use stone road.

Weight loading is not always straightforward, so read our weight loading guide before you choose.
